Hello, I am Yvonne.

I am an Architect now based in Lisbon, Portugal. After getting my masters in Architecture in Paris many donkeys or elephant years ago, I have lived and worked in different places - from Singapore to Shanghai to Lisbon, back to Shanghai and now back to Lisbon, and in between even idling a little in the scenic island of Sicily. I called it, “Taking a pausa”.

My dad used to say that I was like a bird without legs. That is because I kept moving places, in his eyes. The same reason I cannot understand the new generations Z and onwards, and totally baffled by the way they do what they do, how they think, the same way my dad thinks that not staying in one place = to moving a lot. Now, at least he is relieved to know that I am building my nest here in this part of the world.

That said, these many years spent living in different places have gifted me a wealth of friendships—many with truly remarkable souls—along with knowledge, built and unbuilt projects - from big mixed use to small bespoke interiors, gathered technical expertise, people skills, and a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and the mindsets they carry. It’s been a wild ride, but every twist and turn was worth it.

A new chapter unfolds, its pages yet unwritten. I’m filled with curiosity about what lies ahead. I wander forward, wonder in my heart, with dreams and visions still yearning to awaken.
